Don Fahrbach — Owner, Shine of Long Island

Don Fahrbach was born on Long Island, and that hometown pride still shapes everything he does. After earning a degree in Industrial & Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he spent more than 20 years in management and quality-assurance roles, implementing systems that met the demanding standards of companies like Ford, Boeing, UL, and ISO 9000. Those years taught him that excellence isn’t an accident—it’s the result of clear processes, high standards, and people who care.When Don stepped into the home-services world, first through PNP Craftsmen and then Shine of Long Island, he brought that same mindset with him. He wanted to build something closer to home so he could spend more time with the people who matter most. Today Shine of Long Island is a true family operation. His daughter Kristen, who spent years working alongside him on Long Island, now owns and runs Shine of Charlotte with her husband Evan. His son Joe leads the field crews here on Long Island, training technicians and making sure every window, roof, gutter, and lighting display is done the Shine way.Don still loves watching the team grow and seeing a house transform after a job well done. For him, Shine isn’t just about clean glass or holiday lights—it’s about treating neighbors the way you’d want your own home treated. Today Joe is the one out in the field making sure that standard holds up every day.As the person who runs field operations for Shine of Long Island, Joe trains and leads the crews that show up at your home or business. He’s the one making sure the team is prepared, the work is done right, and every property is treated with the same care he’d want for his own family’s house. From window cleaning and soft washing to gutters, roof cleaning, landscape lighting, and holiday displays, Joe’s focus is simple: top-of-the-line results that customers can see and trust.What he loves most is watching technicians grow. He takes pride in building a crew that is professional, friendly, and detail-oriented—people who live Shine’s values of Serving, Excellence, Safety, Positive Energy, and having a little Fun while they work.
