Meet the Owner

Matt Arveson — Owner, Shine of Boulder

Shine of Boulder is owned and operated by Matthew Arveson. Matt has been a Boulder resident since 1996 and spent 16 years writing code and managing software projects at the University of Colorado. After CU, he switched careers to fine-tune his business skills, earning three certifications in Agile software development methodologies. He worked at a startup for five years before joining Shine to open the Boulder location. Matt's passions align with Shine's values of service, positive energy, customer satisfaction, and mixing in some fun along the way! Matt is an Eagle Scout who embodies trustworthiness and helpfulness. He volunteered with the Eldora Ski Patrol from 1996 to 2010, including nine years as the Avalanche Advisor, and continues to teach avalanche classes annually with Bryan Mountain Nordic Ski Patrol. Being an active member of Grace Commons church, Matt has gone on mission trips, even leading a few, and enjoys back-country skiing and mountain climbing. Fun fact: he has climbed all Colorado 14ers, Mt. Rainier, and Kilimanjaro! As a father of three teenagers active in sports, various clubs, band, and scouting, Matt is deeply invested in the Boulder community. He is eager to build strong local relationships and brighten the community with his services.
